How to Recover Your Wallet

Desktop Wallet

If you are installing the wallet on a new a computer then simply download and install the wallet. Then, enter your 24-word mnemonic phrase when prompted on the screen. Remember to only enter your mnemonic in once. Leave the mnemonic extension area blank.

If you’re restoring from a computer restored backup and your coins aren’t showing up after the wallet syncs then follow these steps.

Windows

1. Close the Desktop Wallet

2. Press Windows Key + R

3. Type %appdata% then press enter

3. Delete Electra Desktop folder

4. Restart Desktop wallet

5. Enter passphrase (password)

6. Recover via 24-word Mnemonic Phrase. Enter this phrase only ONCE, leave the mnemonic extension area blank.

The 24-word mnemonic phrase needs to be exact and entered only in the mnemonic phrase area and not in the mnemonic extension area. Only enter the mnemonic once.

  • No space at the beginning
  • No double-space between words
  • No space at the end
  • No wrong letter

If there is a typo made with the mnemonic phrase when entered it will cause the wallet to continuously loop as it’s searching for a mnemonic phrase that doesn’t exist. Please enter the mnemonic carefully to avoid this.


*ECA will appear in wallet after it is fully synced. This process takes about 1-2 hours.

MacOS

1. Click desktop and click on Go to folder or press Shift ⇧ + Command ⌘ + G


2. Type ~/Library/Application Support and then click on Go

3. Delete Electra Desktop folder

4. Restart Desktop wallet

5. Enter passphrase (password)

6. Recover via 24-word Mnemonic Phrase. Enter this phrase only ONCE, leave the mnemonic extension area blank.

1. Open File System Folder

2. Open the Opt folder

3. Delete Electra Desktop folder

4. Delete Electra Desktop folder

5. Restart Desktop wallet
